  1. through our comment we develop the four basic skills of English.
puppets are a very good way to teach the children even better than books because the children with puppets interact and live the stories
this is a better way to capture the attention.
children like to games and new thing to them.
they prefer to play and they didn´tknow that they are learning .

  2. This video is very interesting for me. In our profession we meet students who don’t understand the language, don’t pay attention and less they give it importance, because they get bored.
Using the technique of puppeteering, I think that I am going to catch the major attention of the students and this going to me allow to transmit in a way more entertaining and new way the learning of the language. In turn, this is going to allow that the students should interact and take part actively in the development of the class.
It is necessary to know, that this technique not only serves to tell histories, also it allows us to explain situations, problems, feelings and emotions that we want to transmit.
I hope that you could help us to understand a bit more about this technique; it seems to me to be interesting to apply it in my sessions of classes with the new students.

  4. I think that children loves to be entertained with puppets. Before using a puppet with the class, make a plan. Select, discover a voice and create a personality for a particular puppet. For example, choose a puppet with a large head and facial features that will represents the character, someone the kids can look and like. The puppet can be used for teaching vocabulary and dialogs. This is a very good idea for the beginning of school, when starting the class as a way of motivation.

  5. In my opinion teaching with puppets is very interesting because you can keep student´s attention and if the puppets are funny and fashionable we can get better resoults. We should take in count that the AGE of the students is a vital factor because for some it could be funny and interesting but for others boring or unpleasant.
Sorry but I am a woman of short words.
    hope you like my coment....

  6. Puppets have been used for many years in all the history and especially to work with children due to they really love to have an imaginary world inside of their minds. Children can develop their creativity through the use of puppets because they can be used in many types of scenery as for example to personify or dramatize a fairy tale, a work, an event, a comedy and so on. Nowadays, puppets have increased the attention of children especially those which are at toddlers and preschool ages since they are at the age where to control their behavior and the hyperactivity in them is very difficult as for their parents as for their teachers or tutors; they can reduce the level of activity in them; that´s what Abraham Maslow says about the manipulation of objects. In the other hand, we must be conscious that when we use a puppet we are putting all our creative skills which help us to be more expressive overcoming our fears to talk in public and also to be more fluid at the moment to communicate us with other people.
In teaching English, it results very funny and interesting for the students who really get bored to see all the time the same teacher’s face and letters, and letters and more letters on their books without having a different way to learn a language. For me, to use a puppet in class involves to show artistic side which sometimes is difficult because you leave your own personality to hide you behind of a toy as funny and cute as this.

  7. I THINK THAT THE PUPPETS IS A MATERIAL VERY IMPORTAN IN THE EDUCATION FOR THE CHILDREN BECAUSE DEVELOP MANY SKILLS: THE PRONUNCIATION IN A NEW LANGUAGE, THROUGH THE IMITATION FOR OTHER CHARACTER.
THEY CAN BE EXTREMELY COMPLEX OR VERY SIMPLE IN THEIR CONSTRUCTION. THEY MAY EVEN BE FOUND OBJECTS. AS OSCAR WILDE WROTE, "THERE ARE MANY ADVANTAGES IN PUPPETS. THEY NEVER ARGUE. THEY HAVE NO CRUDE VIEWS ABOUT ART. THEY HAVE NO PRIVATE LIVES". DAVID CURRELL HAS SAID "A PUPPET IS NOT AN ACTOR AND A PUPPET THEATRE IS NOT HUMAN THEATRE IN MINIATURE, BECAUSE WHEN AN ACTOR 'REPRESENTS', A PUPPET 'IS'".
